Getting through GCSE and A Level

The first part of helping a young person achieve their best at school is to allow them to enjoy the learning experience. Parents sometimes worry about their child’s work ethic or the school environment, but most often it is just getting over a hurdle to approach learning in the right way.

Whether it’s a problem “getting it”, a common issue in maths and science, or understanding what’s expected in learning objectives, more common in english, or social sciences, tutoring can really help. Sometimes one or two extra lessons is all that’s needed to get over that hurdle, other times longer structured support is needed.

With many years experience supporting young people with all sorts of needs, in schools and home tutoring,  through most subjects to A Level standard, I am available to assess and offer support.

Young people have their own personalities and I am keen to stress that if I can be of benefit I will give an honest assessment of outcomes. The wrong type of tutor can do more damage than good, hence the need to asses for the benefit of everyone. No-one wants their time or money wasted.
